Top 3 Players of AFL GameDay Squad Round 5

Max holmes

These three players delivered massive scores and rewarded coaches who backed them in:

1.     Max Holmes 160 – Started the round with a bang! 32 disposals, 23 being kicks and a goal.

2.     Nick Daicos 155 – Daicos rewarded coaches you backed him in even with the James Jordan tag to collect 28 disposals and lay 6 tackles

3.     Zach Merrett – Sparrow had no effect on Merrets output as he collected 37 disposals and took 8 marks.

3 Biggest Disappointments of the Round

Danile Rioli

Not every player lived up to expectations. These three underwhelmed fantasy coaches and left many scrambling for points:

1.     Daniel Rioli 65– Really struggle to find the ball with Jeffery and Noble being the main distributors off half back 16 disposals.

2.     Harry McKay 14 – Totally destroyed the weekends for anyone who played him myself included. Subbed with 2 disposals

3.     Luke Ryan 70 – Been a very underwhelming year for Ryan and this week was more of the same 16 disposals and subbed out of the last.

3 PODs That Won Round

GameDay Squad is all about finding the right PODs at the right time. These three under-the-radar picks delivered huge scores and gave savvy coaches a massive edge:

George hewett

1.     Darcy Cameron 121 – Was the POD pick of the rucks this round with all the top rucks struggling. 20 disposals, 5 marks and 24 hit outs, very nice return if you selected him.

2.     George Hewett 140 – one of the inform midfielders in the competition and keeps getting it done. 39 disposals and 8 marks and will never receive a tag.

3.     Josh Tracy 129 – The big Kahuna had a massive day verse Richmond 6 goals to go with his 8 marks for an impressive 129 GDS score.

BOBS Coaches Round 5 Results

How did Blokes on the Ball’s squads perform in Round 5? Here’s where we finished across all divisions:

The Goal Practitioner

·       Starter – 78th and 2462 Points

·       Classic – 6th and 2741 Points

·       Challenger – 2nd and 3349 Points

·       Champion – 2nd and 3534 Points

Summary:

Overall, I have been having a good run for the year. Little bit of a flex but the competition overall scores see me sitting inside the top 3 in 4/4 comps, But the story of the season is good but not quite. 5 rounds in and I’m still without a round win.

At least I didn't play Mckay, imagine picking him.

Cash Money

·       Starter – 87th rank and 2453 Points

·       Classic – 5th rank and 2746 Points

·       Challenger – 8th and 3229 Points

·       Champion – 21st and 3357 Points

Summary:

Made some good decisions with Holmes and fading Dawson but my weekend was ruined with Harry McKay sub because I had him in all teams except classic. Finding it hard to lock in 2 good rucks each week.

Beast Mode

·       Starter – 138th and 2413 Points

·       Classic – 34th and 2669 Points

·       Challenger – 9th and 3227 Points

·       Champion – 43rd and 3125 Points

Summary:

Coming off the high of last week I decided to roll the dice on key forwards again. Unfortunately, this meant Harry McKay was in all my teams which really hurt my rankings for the round. Other options also scored well which is even more frustrating but that’s the risk we take! Hoping to bounce back this week and dodge injuries.
